These Terms of Use ("Terms" or "EULA") govern your use of The BoardHub mobile and web apps (the "Service"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Account
You may use the app as a guest or sign in with Apple, Google, or email. You are responsible for your credentials and activity. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete All Data or by contacting us.
2. License & Acceptable Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, interfere with, or misuse the Service, or upload unlawful or infringing content.
3. Subscriptions, Billing & Trials
Some features require a paid subscription (BoardHub Pro) billed by the platform store (Apple App Store or Google Play).
Payment & renewal. You are charged by the store at purchase confirmation; the subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Your account may be charged within 24 hours prior to renewal.
Manage / cancel.
- iOS: App Store → Account → Subscriptions
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
Free trials / intro offers. If a trial is offered (e.g., 7-day Monthly, 14-day Yearly), you will not be charged until the trial ends; then the plan auto-renews at the standard price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. One trial per account per store policy. Unused portions of a trial are forfeited upon purchase.
Price changes. Where permitted, price changes are notified by the store and apply to the next renewal.
Refunds. Managed by the store under its policies (Apple or Google). Use your store account to request refunds.
Restore. You can restore purchases from the paywall or settings.
4. Content & Data Sources
You retain rights to content you submit (notes, ratings) and grant us a limited license to store and display it solely to operate the Service. Game metadata is sourced from BoardGameGeek™ (BGG) via its public API; we do not control BGG data or re-host BGG media.
5. Privacy
See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and protect personal data and how to exercise your rights (export/deletion). All data is transmitted over encrypted channels.
6. Maintenance, Availability & Changes
We aim for high availability, but the Service may be interrupted for maintenance or factors outside our control. Features may change or be discontinued. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use means acceptance.
7. Warranties & Liability
The Service is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We and our suppliers are not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits.
8. Intellectual Property
The app and its contents are protected by IP laws. This EULA does not transfer ownership. If we receive a third-party claim alleging the app infringes IP rights, we are responsible for handling it.
9. Legal Compliance
You agree to comply with applicable laws, export controls, and sanctions.

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Chile, unless consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
Platform Addenda
A. Apple Addendum (required by Apple)
Acknowledgement. This EULA is concluded between you and us, not Apple; we—not Apple—are responsible for the app and its content. This EULA does not conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Scope of license. Your license is non-transferable for use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including Family Sharing/volume purchasing where available.
Maintenance & support. We are solely responsible for maintenance and support; Apple has no obligation to provide any.
Warranty. To the extent any warranty applies, we are responsible. If the app fails to conform to a warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) of the app to you; Apple has no other warranty obligations with respect to the app. Any other claims are our sole responsibility.
Product claims. We—not Apple—are responsible for addressing any claims related to the app or your use, including product-liability, legal/regulatory compliance, and consumer-protection/privacy claims.
IP rights. If a third party claims the app or your use infringes IP rights, we—not Apple—are solely responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge.
Legal compliance. You represent and warrant you are not located in a country subject to U.S. embargo or designated as “terrorist-supporting,” and you are not on any U.S. prohibited/restricted parties list.
Developer name & address. See Section 10 above.
Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app (e.g., wireless data service agreements, platform terms).
Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you.
B. Google Play Addendum
Store relationship. Google is not a party to this EULA and has no obligations for maintenance, support, warranties, or product claims for the app.
Billing & refunds. Purchases are processed by Google Play under its policies. Manage/cancel in Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; refund requests are handled by Google Play.
Third-party terms. Your use of the app must comply with your wireless/data agreements and with the Google Play Terms of Service and developer policies.
